Hellenic Cables has finalized individual contracts with Ørsted and Eversource for two offshore wind projects in the U.S. Under these agreements, Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, test, and supply approximately 260 kilometers of 66 kV XLPE-insulated subsea array interconnect cables along with associated accessories—tailored to each project’s delivery schedule—for the South Fork Wind and Revolution Wind facilities in the northeastern U.S., with phased deliveries extending into 2024. Ørsted and Eversource are developing these projects, which, once completed, will generate around 830 megawatts of clean energy—enough to power more than 420,000 homes. These offshore wind farms will represent significant progress toward the nation’s clean energy goals. Commenting on the partnership, Alexis Alexiou, CEO of Hellenic Cables and Cenergy Holdings, stated: “Our longstanding collaboration with Ørsted and Eversource underscores Hellenic Cables’ unwavering commitment to the U.S. offshore wind industry, positioning it as a cornerstone of our business and future strategy. We’re thrilled to partner with industry leaders on these groundbreaking flagship projects that promise to transform the energy landscape across the country.”
