According to data from the Xinjiang Electricity Trading Center, in January of this year, Xinjiang transmitted 10.84 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity externally, representing a year-on-year increase of 17.8%. Among these exports, 2.616 billion kilowatt-hours came from new energy sources, accounting for 24.13% of the total external power transmission. This amount is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 791,300 tons, while also cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 2.1366 million tons, sulfur dioxide by 6,700 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 5,900 tons—playing a significant role in advancing the energy transition and fostering low-carbon development.
